Trip to the vet with the Sony RX100

My daughter Mary spotted a large, squishy bump on Ruthie’s chest, so we took her in to see Dr Ellsworth at East Dallas Veterinary Clinic. They’re wonderful to all our pets but Ruthie gets nervous whenever she’s anywhere unfamiliar, and I had to hold her to calm her down.

Mary’s presence seemed to have a calming effect. And we did get her to sit still just before Dr Ellsworth came in.

Diagnosis: Lipoma, which sounds like carcinoma but isn’t. It’s a benign little fat tumor. We’re supposed to keep an eye on it to see if it balloons in size, but if it doesn’t, everything’s fine.

Ruthie’s happy to be home.
